Samsung Galaxy S Advance gets official

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S Advance smartphone. There are no real surprises and boasts the same features we mentioned yesterday. The phone is an upgrade from the original Galaxy S device that comes with 1GHz dual-core processor and 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display with curved glass design.

The phone runs on Android 2.3 OS and comes with 14.4Mbps HSPA, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 720p video playback and recording, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 8 or 16B of internal memory, 768MB of RAM, Allshare, FM Radio, microSD card slot and 1500mAh battery.

Samsung has also customized the device’s software with TouchWiz UI, Live Panels and pre-loads apps and services like various Hubs – Readers, Game, Music, ChatON messaging service, Find my Mobile, Kies Air, Samsung Apps and more.

It will be released in Russia first in February followed by CIS, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Latin America and China.
